Stacks/the Law Firm, Tweed Heads is a dynamic legal practice which is operated by local solicitors Tony Mitchell, Kel Connelly and David Crossan.

Stacks/The Law Firm, Tweed Heads originated  from the merger in 1997 of  two local and respected firms, Halliday & Stainlay, and A.D Mitchell and Co. Ted Halliday commenced legal practice in Murwillumbah in 1891, with a branch office at Coolangatta.  Mr Halliday teamed up with Leo Stainlay after the second World War, beginning a successful partnership.  Tony Mitchell commenced legal practice in Tweed Heads in 1985.

Stacks/the Law Firm, Tweed Heads is proud of its origins and today continues the practice of providing a friendly and supportive environment with traditional family values.

As a member of Stacks/The Law Firm, we have access to the combined knowledge and experience of over 70 professional staff in 20 offices across NSW and QLD. Stacks/the Law Firm, Tweed Heads makes use of up-to-the-minute communications technology in order to service clients outside of its immediate office location.

We understand how important it is to regularly review the quality of our legal services. Our firm continues to meet the rigorous requirements of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System standard. Having been certified since 2003, we are proud to have obtained re-certification to the ISO9001:2008 standard for a further three years, following a recent re-certification audit by SAI Global.
